Transition Tip of the Week
Students (ages 16+) returning to SPS in the Fall can often earn school credit from their Summer Jobs. It needs to be set up ahead of time. Email kemeyer@foundationsprogramme.com for more info.
High school students ages 14 & 15 might volunteer, which can build their skills while knocking out their 60 Hours of Service Learning over the Summer.
Students graduating & going on to jobs, apprenticeships & colleges are able to request accommodations. Be sure to get copies of your 504 Plan, IEP and/or Evaluation from your high school case manager before you leave. Make an appointment with the Disability Support Office or 504 Coordinator at your post-secondary institution/company.
